我想在实体框架/ ADO.NET中使用Firebird。

为了做到这一点，我

  1. 安装EntityFramework
  2. 安装FirebirdSQL.Data.FirebirdClient
  3. 安装EntityFramework.Firebird
  4. 安装了Firebird DDEX

然后，当我尝试创建一个新的ADO.NET火鸟数据源实体连接时，只要更改connection对话框中任何字段的值，我就会得到一个巨大的错误并重新启动VS。

如果没有更改任何字段，并且单击，则显示“连接成功”。如果我单击OK，它会说：

“无法找到所请求的.NET框架数据提供程序。它可能没有安装”。但我刚安装好了！

当我使用其他提供者时，它不会这样做。

火鸟.net提供程序安装程序有一个问题，它将旧条目保留在machine.config中。。这些重复的条目会导致Visual崩溃。在每个.net提供程序更新之后，从machine.config中删除旧条目，直到错误得到修复，并且由提供程序自己完成。在跟踪器中投票支持它，也许开发人员会更早地修复它。
